Pricing Schedule #
This feature is designed for locations with recurring price changes throughout the day or week. It removes the need to manually set a price. A Dev Request is not required to enable this feature.
Use Case #
The Pricing Schedule tool can be used to schedule standard rates, Membership Rates, Lost Ticket Prices, and also Prepay prices to start and stop at a given time.
IMPORTANT: When using the Pricing Schedule tool only one type of price can be scheduled. You can only use the tool to schedule price changes between Lost Tickets, or standard rates, etc. If the schedule contains more than one price type then only one of those scheduled price changes will take effect.
For best practices, it is recommended to program prices in the scheduler between the same types, such as: standard to standard, or lost ticket to lost ticket, not exceeding the A to B price relation.
Implementation #
In the Admin Portal, select the Company and Location and click the Pricing Schedule tab to get started.
1 –Click on the Add New button to add a new pricing schedule.
2- Enter a name and select the desired ticket type, days, start time, logical zone (Garage, campus mode), and price then Save the schedule.
The user is required to make a setting selection on each field to save the changes.
3- After creating and saving the schedule, pressing the Validate button will confirm no issues with the configuration.
Important: After creating the schedule, navigate back to the Ticket Type tab and confirm the prices that will take effect after the scheduled prices are in the Ticket Type, and make sure to press the Make Automatic button.
Scheduling Pre-Pay to Post-Pay (and vice versa) #
To schedule a price change between PrePay and PostPay rates, the schedule will be applied to the PrePay and the Disable PrePay rates only. The Standard rate will not be included in the schedule, the system will automatically revert to the previously selected Default Standard rate when the Disable PrePay rate is active.
After creating the scheduled pricing for any prepay price, make sure not to make any changes to the price in the portal, as it could make the FlashRate structure unresponsive, therefore exempting the Scheduled pricing from taking effect.
For more information regarding Prepay Price configuration please visit this page.
Notes #
Compatibility #
The Pricing Schedule is compatible with the following:
- FlashPARCS
- Pay on Exit
- For prepaid prices, the prepay option will take priority over the Pay on Exit option. The Scheduled prepay will enter at the configured time and revert to the standard pay on exit price when the “Disable Prepay” takes effect.
- Membership (if using the ticket type level)
- PrePay*
- Pay on Exit
- Flash Valet rates
Considerations #
If the Parking Operation manually changed a price while the schedule was active the Make Automatic button needs to be pressed again. Please make sure Make Automatic is enabled at the Ticket Type or Logical Zone level.
