License Plate Recognition #
License plate information is captured by LPR cameras mounted to point to the most common angles for plate location, and usually from a passenger-side point of view. In some cases, nevertheless, the view of the vehicle’s license plate can be obstructed by a spare tire or any other installation on the back side of the vehicle.

A solution to this issue is the LPR camera installation centered to point at the back of the vehicle, which provides a clearer view of the License Plate.

Vision placement on one side can surpass the lane width inconvenience in most cases, shown in the example below with no spare tire:
