FlashRates: PrePay Overnight At Kiosk (In-Out) configuration

What to configure #

Create a PARCS In-Out Ticket Type #

In the Flash Admin portal go to Company > Location > Ticket Type > Add New

1. Enter the Ticket Type Name
2. Enable
   • Ticket Re-issue
   • Show Paid
   • Show In Summary
   • FlashPARCS
   • In-Out
3. Save

Create an InOut Price #

In the Flash Admin portal select the In-Out Ticket Type > scroll down to the Price section > Add New

1. Enter Price Name
2. Amount = $0.00
3. Check In-Out Price (FlashPARCS)
4. Assign a Late Price
5. Save
6. Select the Prices tab > find the newly created price and change Source to Flash Rates
7. Change the In-Out Minutes time to the checkout time specified by the Parking Operator.

Configure In-Out Price in FlashRates #

Log into the Flash Rates Tool

• Publication: Immediately
  • Or Schedule the rate to the preferred date
• Repeat Duration: None
• At the Price Groups/Specials tab select Add Component:
  • Days: All Week, unless specified by the client
  • Name: Component name. This does not show at the FlashPARCS screen and is not visible to the parker.
  • Start Time: Blank
  • End Time: Blank
• Pricing Method: Duration based
• Price: Enter the amount to be paid for each night
• Price Duration: 24 hours

Create and assign a Late Fee Price #

In the Flash Admin portal select the In-Out Ticket Type > scroll down to the Price section > Add New

• Name: Overnight Late Fee
• Amount: 0.00 (Use FlashRates to configure programming)
• ✓ Late Fee Price
  • Note: You can use the Same As dropdown option to mirror an existing price. Same As is found in the Prices Tab within the price settings.
• Assign the Late Price to the In-Out price.

FlashPARCS kiosk settings   #

Do not enable this unless all of the previous steps have been completed.

• NOTE: Prices must be completed before performing these steps.
• Select Entry kiosks that will allow feature
• ✓ Allow In-Out
• Save

Notes #

• When an InOut Rate is active the Flash PARCS screen displays the “Im a Hotel Guest” button at the Entry Kiosk.
• All InOut Rates need to be configured in the FlashRates Tool
• All InOut prices should have a late fee linked to them. if not, then the customer will not be charged a late fee if they exceed their checkout date.
• Force PrePay If No Paper is not compatible with PrePay Overnight at kiosk. FlashPARCS still defaults to the Pay On Exit price and asks the parker to swipe their cc at Entry
