Main doc: Flash Valet Monitors
The following guide includes steps to configure a valet monitor at the portal level and steps for the configuration of the Flash Controller.
This option is only visible to Monitor users (Flash Staff).
Portal Configuration #
1. Check the Inform Walkups flag on the Location’s Details page. This enables the Ready status on the Valet Monitor.

2. At the bottom of the Details page select the Monitor URL Scope from the dropdown to generate a link, and click on the Generate button. The dropdown selection of Monitor URL Scope will match the location ticket types. Only 1 ticket type per monitor link can be selected. If you select (location) then a Monitor URL will be created for each ticket type (this is the recommended selection)

- A popup will appear notifying the successful creation of the link.
- After reloading the page, link(s) for the desired scope will appear at the Monitors section, copying and pasting these links into a new tab will show the newly created Service Monitor windows. You can also see the current ticket type price in real time when using the Rate monitor.
Recommended Configuration Check #
- Review the Default Retrieval Time; this controls the Estimated Times & monitor colors.
- Review the Request (Reject Timeout); this time limit removes the ticket from Pending Acceptance.
- For locations with PARCS Access, do not use the ‘PARCS Access Complete’ feature.
Note: the system auto-refreshes the page every 30 seconds to show any changes in real time. (add which type of link needs to be opened for this)
Flash Controller Configuration #
The Computer will be connected to the Internet via a wired connection and connected to the TV or monitor via an HDMI cable (or HDMI to CAT5 converter).
- Setup Logmein and add Computer to appropriate group.
- Launch and register Secure Lockdown
- Enter password “flash” and click Unlock.
- Click on “Master Application” tab.
- Application: Select Web Browser Location: example: C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplorer.exe
- Arguments: To remove web browser frames use argument “-k” then the page you want to be displayed by default
- Start in: Select the link used in Arguments and copy to this field, this will allow the application to start at the selected page once the system restarts.
Summary: First generate a URL by doing the Portal Configuration steps above, and then with the help of Secure Lockdown, you ensure the Flash Controller always displays the web browser with the URL in it. Secure Lockdown prevents apps from minimizing or closing. With SecureLockdown you can configure the web browser to launch on startup.
