Parkonect’s Monthly Account Module organizes monthly parkers by account, with each account containing one or more assigned cardholders. Every cardholder must be linked to an account. To add a single parker, you must first (1) create an account and then (2) add the cardholder under that account.
To access the monthly accounts and parkers (cardholders):
Go to Garage > Garage Settings > Accounts.

The landing page for the Account Module displays all monthly and contract parking accounts created for the garage. From this page, you can:
1. Use the “Search Parkers” as a wildcard search function to search all accounts for a cardholder’s barcode, name, or unit number
2. Add or edit accounts and their related permissions
3. Set all parkers to neutral status
How to create a New Account #
- Go to Garage > Garage Settings > Accounts.
- Select “Add New Account”
Account Information #
The following setting list applies to all account pages and their cardholders. Some fields only appear when creating a profile, as stated in their description.
- Account Name: The account name is used as a reference on numerous reports, logs, and analytics within the Parkonect system. This is the main account that can potentially house multiple cardholders. Please be sure to name the account accordingly.
- Barcode Prefix: Account level barcode prefix – set to “m”
- Active: Controls the account’s status. An active account has regular parking access, while an inactive account is on hold and cannot access the parking facility.
- Hotel: This field is for hotel module users, and it’s currently not in use.
- Valet Hiker: This flag designates the account as a valet parker. Accounts that have this flag active will not be able to use monthly parker’s exclusive credentials.
- iPhone/Android Generator: Deprecated field. Not in use.
- Passback not enforced (Master use): When this flag is checked, passback rules are disabled for the account, allowing unrestricted entry and exit.
- RFID Only Access: This setting restricts access to RFID card scanning only, adding an extra layer of security by preventing barcode credentials from working, even if they match the AVI/FOB credential. This applies to all cardholders under the account.
- Pool Size Limit: This setting is used to set the maximum number of parkers that an account can have in a garage at any given time. For example, if you check the “Pool Size Limit” box and enter “10” in the validation field, the account would only let a maximum of 10 parkers in the garage, even if the account has 100 cardholders. The 11th cardholder will be denied access and will be required to pull a ticket to enter the garage.
- Monthly Charge: This field is for information and reporting purposes only. It is not a collection or billing feature.
- Restriction Type: 3 options for account restriction are available: No restriction, Time Range restriction, and Max Time restriction. These options encompass all cardholders in the account and are different from the cardholder’s Access Level restrictions, which are exclusive to the cardholder.
- Max Time per Day: Maximum parking time (in hours).
- Max Time Per Use: Maximum parking uses for the account. If checking the box to activate this feature, a drop-down will show the Overage Enforcement Mechanism with three options for enforcing measurements: None, Promo Code, and Rate Sheet.
- Restriction Violations: These options manage violations by billing the entire session or only the excess time starting from the violation.
- Barcode Pattern Matching: Deprecated field.
- Barcode Regular Expression: Deprecated field.
- Allow Paris Access: Allows access to the Paris integration. Be aware, that this one-way integration overwrites any info created in Parkonect since all monthly information is managed through the Paris software, rendering Parkonect to only show information imported from Paris.
- Paris Account Number: Account number field for Paris Integration.
- Enable Auto Logout: Check to activate the Auto Logout setting. For locations supporting only 1 device or no kiosk. Systems logs out parker a certain time after entry.
- Auto Log Minutes: Set minutes for the system to log the parker out in the Enable Auto Logout setting.
Lot Options #
- Nested Account: Check the box if the account will have access to nested areas.
- Primary Lot: Select the primary lot from the drop-down if available.
- Secondary Lot: Select the secondary lot from the dropdown if available.
- Enforce lot full to access secondary: If marked, the account can only have access to the secondary lot when no parking spaces from the primary lot are available.
- Access all lots (no lot full): Access to all lots will be granted, regardless of any lot being full.
- Access all lots (Enforce lot full): Access to all lots will be granted, except when a lot is full.
- Access only primary lot: The account will only have access to the primary lot.
- Access only secondary lot: The account will only have access to the secondary lot.
Add Parkers (Cardholders) #
- To add a parker, select the account > Edit Cardholders > Add New Parker on the next page.

Cardholder Information #

- Enter First/Last Name
- Enter barcode (can be alphanumeric)
- Ensure Active is checked to activate parker’s access
- Neutral State: If the parker is already in the garage, this ensures they can use the credential at the exit on first use.
- Use the Starting Date to delay access and the Expiration Date to set an end date if known.
- Enter the license plate for LPR credentials. Each parker can have up to 10 plates. See Monthly Learning Mode for alternative plate capture methods.
- Email or iPhone / Android:
- Access Level: Parker Restrictions – see Monthly Access Levels for more details.
Add Additional Credentials #

Additional monthly credentials can be added using the Add Credential tool. All added credentials appear in the adjacent Credentials section, where they can also be deleted.
Create Pass #
To print or email the parker’s barcode credential, select Create Pass to generate it.

Note: You must first save the new parker information for the Create Pass button to appear.
- A monthly parker’s pass consists of the account prefix followed by the barcode entered in the Barcode field when adding or editing cardholders.
- For example, cardholder John Wick’s credential is “m208281234”, where “m20828” is the account prefix for Hot Topic, and “1234” is the barcode. The Parkonect hardware reads this full credential as a QR code.
